Delete my account

What gets deleted, what stays in backups, and how long it takes.


From Settings → Delete account, confirm twice and we'll wipe your records inside 24 hours. Encrypted backups roll off the schedule within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Every pet, invoice, line item, EOB, and reimbursement record
  • Uploaded files (receipts, EOB PDFs)
  • Your account email and policy details

What we keep, briefly

Stripe and our auth provider keep their own anonymized billing / sign-in audit logs per their compliance requirements. Nothing identifiable to a pet stays in Heel.

  • The email on your Heel account (so we can find you)
  • What you were trying to do, and what happened instead
  • A screenshot if it's a visual issue — attach to a reply once you've got a thread
  • The invoice or EOB ID if it's about a specific document
  • Roughly when it happened (helps us find logs)
